About John

Noblesville’s Mayor John Ditslear was elected to a 4-year term in November 2003 and was re-elected to a second four year term in November of 2007. Noblesville’s demographics have certainly changed during Mayor Ditslear’s tenure with its population growing 25% in the past eight years.

Mayor Ditslear has been diligent in maintaining this all-American community with a classic Midwest downtown. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places and recently ranked in the top 10 “Best Places to Raise a Family” and ranked in the top 5 “Best Places to Retire” Noblesville offers the best for both growing families and seniors. From the “small town” charm of this County Seat city to Hamilton Town Center, from the Indiana Transportation Museum to Morse Lake, from Verizon Wireless Music Center to White River Canoeing, Noblesville is truly a destination worth discovering.

A MESSAGE FROM JOHN
It is with great joy and anticipation that I am writing to you to let you know of my intentions to run again, for Mayor of Noblesville in 2011. I have had the privilege of serving the citizens of Noblesville, “One Person at a Time,” for nearly eight years. It is under my leadership and through my administration that much has been accomplished and there is more to be done.

When I first ran as Mayor, I said that I wanted to see Noblesville move forward and we have. Noblesville has received many Community awards in the past eight years including being voted in the top 10 “Best places to raise a Family” by Family Circle, and have received the notoriety of being a “Best Place to Retire,” according to Forbes Money Magazine. This tells me that Noblesville is certainly the best place to live whether young or old, no matter if you have lived here all your life or are new to our community. We do have our challenges and opportunities as a community to stay fiscally healthy.

Because of my background as a leader in many areas of Noblesville including: Noblesville Schools, Boys and Girls Club, United Way, Riverview Foundation, and the Noblesville Chamber of Commerce Board, I have the relationships and experience to keep Noblesville moving forward. Further, with my experience as a former President of Indiana Cities and Towns, my experience and relationships at the State level has dramatically increased my awareness of the importance of State politics and policies.

I have appreciated your support over the years and I ask you for your support and vote on Tuesday, November 8, 2011. If you want more information about my thoughts for Noblesville’s future, do not hesitate to call me personally, or visit my website at www.DitslearforMayor or visit my Facebook page. I would like to hear from you about your questions or concerns about our future together.
Thank you in advance for your support,

Sincerely,

John Ditslear
